Caroline Mackay is a Freelance Designer and Illustrator who helps clients to put their best foot forward with a clean and considered design aesthetic.
Before her venture into freelancing full-time, Caroline spent seven years honing her design skills working in full-time and freelance roles across Australia, the UK and the Netherlands. Since making the leap into freelancing, Caroline has worked with private companies, startups, publishers and NGOs. With a contemporary and restrained design eye, Caroline’s approach to design helps clients stand out amongst the noise.
Caroline is passionate about all things editorial and has enjoyed working in the magazine space as both a designer and Illustrator. She has art directed several print and eMagazines and works on illustration for both editorial and surface design.
Caroline’s illustrations evoke a sense of vintage nostalgia and feature both handmade and digital elements – often using ink and hand-drawn brush work. In a world fixated on consumption, she is interested in our obsession with food, products and packaging.
In her spare time Caroline enjoys many personal bio clichés such as coffee and running as well as de-cluttering, making raw treats and the occasional podcast overdose.
